Brothers! It was that time of year where we called out those scouts who are deserving of being called "honor scouts". Our chapter was at the campfire on Saturday we also ran the parking lot on Friday night. We also cooked up lunch for the entire camp on Saturday.  Congratulations to the new "Candidates" and we look forward to seeing you at our Ordeal ! 

Hello Brothers!  Our Malibu Lodge has updated the link and now you can pay you dues online without a problem. Just follow the link under the Menu Section.  Remember, in order for you to be eligible to win our dance contest, you must have your 2012 dues paid!  

27 Brothers attended. We discussed upcoming events thar included Troop elections, Section Conclave, Camporee, Cub Family and Cub Parent Weekends and most importantly...PIZZA Night for the May meeting. We also signed a get well card for one of our fallen but not out, past chief who was involved in an accident over the Easter weekend.....get better soon ! Our next meeting is the last one BEFORE Camporee so be sure to attend.    

  This contest is open to all youth that are current members of the Serranos Chapter regardless of honor level or dance experience. Lodge dues for 2012 must be paid in current in order to be eligible to win. The Arrowman who participates in the most number of dance events will be the first place winner.  (Two dances at one Blue and Gold dinner = one dance event). The Arrowman with the second most will take second place and third most will take third place. If there is a tie the person with the most accumulated points towards the Arrowman Service Award on the last day of the contest will be the winner and the other person will take the next lower place. First Prize: IPOD Nano 5th generation, Second place prize: $75 REI gift card, Third place prize:$25 Walmart gift card. The contest will begin on February 2, 2012 and end on May 10, 2012.  The winners will be announced at the Camporee Campfire. The Vice Chief of Activities will have the final say if there is any grievance.  

Have you been active in the OA this year? Active arrowmen can earn the Quality Arrowman Award by completing the minimum standards found on the attached application. The recognition is a metal shark pin which is worn on your OA lodge flap. Just fill in the form and bring it with you to the next chapter meeting. All work must have been completed during the 2011 calendar year.

Please attend any/all of the events listed above in the Upcoming Events Section. You will receive service hours for your troop/chapter/school and will help out those who request our chapter's assistance. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. And remember, its Cheerful Brotherhood Service to ALL !
